Things to Do this Weekend: Singapore Art Week & Snack Fair (19 Jan – 21 Jan)

Now that the rainy season is over, it’s time for you to get out! If you’re a fan of the arts, you’re in for a treat this weekend. There are plenty of arts events going on this weekend such as the Light to Night Festival and Aliwal Urban Arts Festival. So here’s a list of things you can do this weekend from 19 January to 21 January!

1. Light to Night Festival 2018: Colour Sensations

The Light to Night Festival is back for its second edition with so much more to offer. Themed Colour Sensations, you can catch cultural institutions and parks transform into beautiful works of art. Explore the sensation of colours through visual, literary, and performing art forms. Those feeling hungry can grab some munchies from the Festival Food Street at the Padang. Don’t forget to pack along a picnic mat so you can enjoy your food under the stars.

2. Instant Fame

Come and support Singapore-based pop artists’ first major exhibition this weekend. This event features tons of exciting artworks created by Singapore’s best practitioners on the POP culture. Expect to see works by Billy Ma, Stefanie Hauger, Leo Liu Xuanqi, Andre Tan, Justin Lee, TR853-1 (Traceone), and Iskander Walen. Be prepared to be in awe and get inspired!

3. Sunset Yoga & Movie by the Ocean

There’s nothing better than practising yoga while you’re surrounded by nature in one of Singapore’s beautiful vista – Sentosa! Along the Siloso Beach is exactly where you’ll be doing your poses and stretches. When the sun sets, enjoy a movie screening coupled with free popcorn by the ocean! Whether rain or shine, the show still goes on as the area is sheltered. Singapore’s coolest Aliwal Urban Arts Festival is happening again this weekend. Get down and experience a night of global street culture. From graffiti to graphic art, rock to afro-beat, and skateboarding to breakdancing, these are just some of the highlights happening on Aliwal Street. So what are you waiting for? Dress up in your best street outfit and boogie!

5. World Snack Fair 2018
